DUBAI // A video of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, the Crown Prince of Dubai, zip-lining above the Dubai Fountain has been posted on social media.

The brief Instagram clip shows Sheikh Hamdan strapped into a harness and travelling along a zip-line in front of Burj Khalifa.

Below him, the fountain show is in full display and he can be seen splashing through some of the towering streams of water on his way to the other side.

The stunt was part of the XLine attraction being organised by XDubai, which runs action sports activities in the emirate.

“Leap off and swing across Downtown Dubai with breathtaking views of the fountain,” said the XDubai website. “We dare you to keep your eyes open.”

According to the website, anyone wanting to take part must receive an invitation by following the company’s various social media accounts.

“The invitation must be presented on site along with a valid ID,” said the website. “Below 18 needs to be accompanied by parent or guardian.”

Those who get invited and wish to take part must meet weight restrictions of between 50kg and 110kg and be between 1.04 metres and 2.10 metres tall.
